Wicked color me squids

July 4th, 2008

It appears I’ve entered some sort of blogging frenzy with my third post for the day. Not quite as satisfying as a deep-sea krill-eating frenzy, but good nonetheless.

Natalie recently sent me these wicked color me squids, that certainly rival Mary’s previous efforts.

Another totally sweet game I thought I’d slip in here…

GlueFO
In further non-squid related news, I wanted to put a little plug in here for the latest irRegularGame: GlueFO. Its a very addictive little space themed action game. Give it a whirl.

Oh and there seems to be something weird happening with the header of this blog right now, damn you wordpress!

Vegetables. They must be flung.

Veggie Fling

Sometimes a giant squid grows tired of krill and seaweed, and feels the urge to wrap his tentacles around something a little more earthy. Like dirt. Or things that grow in the dirt. Like vegetables. And then fling them.

Colossal Squid at Te Papa

May 3rd, 2008

You may be interested in the recent mutilation, er I mean autopsy of a colossal squid that occurred at New Zealand’s National Museum, Te Papa. Rest assured that this poor fellow was no direct relation of mine and that I am still very much at large.

Poor squid being dissected

While I was somewhat horrified to witness the dissection of one of my brethren, I can only hope that it has helped raise general squid-consciousness and awareness. If they wanted to know about more squid, they merely needed to have asked me.

Happy New Year

January 1st, 2008

Firstly may I wish everyone a Most Squiddy New Year. May your year be full of krill, your tentacles grab sweetly, and all your marauding be of the highest order! A recent correspondant chastised me for my tardy 2007 blogging practices:

“Why no blogs since OCTOBER? Cmon. You should be ashamed of yourself, in a slimy and funny smelling way.”

Quite right, quite right. Although I’ll have you know that I use a very nice eau de toilette. Anyway, I’ll attempt to do better in 2008. If you are looking for a challenging puzzle game, why not try your tentacle at cirplosion.

Awesome color me squids

October 29th, 2007

Mary recently sent me these truly inspiring colored in color me squids.

Color 1 Color 2
Color 3 Color 4

Beware her caveat however: “Cheap wax crayons and barbed sucker cups do not play well together. There is wax all over the seabed.”

Sproing!

September 6th, 2007

In non-squid related news, a good overworld (human) friend has recently release a very addictive and cool flash game Sproing. Rock out with your krill out.
